After completing my Master of Commerce from Kamaraj University, I started my career investing in stocks and ran a company at the Madurai Stock Exchange in 1993 with zero experience which fetched me investment growth of 500% within 3 years. This was possible with the childhood dream ignited and inspired by my father who started his entrepreneurial journey from scratch and built a company that went on to become a leading supplier of edible oils in south Tamil Nadu.
I believe learning is a continuous process and always strive to keep on honing my skills in diverse dimensions of entrepreneurship. Establishing M.A.C. (Malligha Asafoetida Company) as a start-up family business in 1996 I began with zero knowledge and expertise in asafoetida manufacturing in a tiny space of 150 square feet only. My core belief in keeping M.A.C. updated with continual technology developments, building processes and custom-built systems, ensuring innovative packaging, and development of several new products derived from the actual market based customer needs have all been instrumental in fostering recipes that can not only delight customers but also build trust and loyalty in the minds of M.A.C.’s consumers.
